Wagging tails and drink placement
Give a dog room to move before choosing the place for your drink.

Check the turning space
A dog may pass a table without touching it and then turn in the same area. Look at the route to the couch, bed or door and the space used to turn around. Put the drink outside that movement, not just a little farther from the tabletop edge.
Keep landing spots clear
Do not put a drink where a dog climbs onto a couch or where a cushion moves under their weight. A drink holder does not stabilize the cushion beneath it. If the surface shifts, move the drink to a separate stable surface before the dog settles there.
Allow the actual footprint
Steadi is 5.2 inches across at the base and needs that whole area supported. Leave additional clearance around it. On a small side table, the space left after a lamp, remote and book may be too narrow even if the table itself looks large enough.
Keep the expectation specific
The wider base helps resist tipping; it does not guarantee resistance to a tail strike, jump, hard knock or determined pet. We do not have a universal dog-size or impact rating. Neither the site’s films nor a staged scene establishes such a rating.
Make relocation easy
Choose a spot you can reach without leaning over the dog, and move the drink if play becomes active. A closed container may solve liquid containment better than an open cup, but follow its instructions and still keep your drink away from your pet.
