Cat knocking over your water glass? Start with placement.

Separate accidental contact, access to the drink and the holder’s actual job.

A person and their pets share a sofa, with a drink in Steadi on a reachable side table. AI lifestyle illustration.
Lifestyle illustration. Choose a level spot with the whole base supported.

Remove the opportunity first

If your cat can reach the glass, Steadi does not make it inaccessible. Move the drink away from the route your cat uses across a table, desk or bedside surface, and put it away when unattended. Do not stage a paw test with an open drink to find out what happens.

A wider base is not a lid

Steadi helps resist tipping with compatible drinkware, but does not cover the opening, prevent a paw entering it or stop a determined push. If the problem is access to the drink, address access. If the problem is occasional contact, thoughtful placement and a wider base address a different part of the setup.

Check the table and the glass

Measure the glass base: Steadi fits 2–3.15 inches across, inclusive. Allow its whole 5.2-inch footprint on a level supported spot. Unusual bases, stems and low handles need separate clearance checks; the diameter alone cannot settle those questions.

Give behavior questions the right source

We do not diagnose why an individual cat pushes or explores objects. Cats Protection provides guidance on play and environmental enrichment; a drink accessory does not replace those needs. Use its guidance for cat behavior, rather than assuming a holder will change the behavior.

Choose what solves your problem

For an open drink sitting in your own reachable area, a compatible stabilizer may be useful. For keeping a curious cat away from the contents, removing access matters more. Do not confuse a tidy-looking setup with a pet-proof one.
